The Hawke’s Bay Branch organises lectures aimed at the General Public, and also events supporting the teaching of science.
Each January we plan our programme for the year ahead. You can view the latest programme here. Confirmation and more detail on our events will be circulated to members and subscribers to our newsletter nearer the time.
Notable annual events include the Art Deco lecture, detailing some scientific aspect relevant to the Earthquake theme, and a Sea Week lecture usually held at the National Aquarium of New Zealand.
The Branch also regularly hosts Royal Society national lectures delivered by award recipients.
