The Royal Society Te Apārangi (RSNZ) is an independent statutory organisation that promotes and advances science, technology and the humanities in New Zealand. RSNZ says of itself that “we promote, invest in and celebrate excellence in people and ideas, for the benefit of all New Zealanders — and make telling these stories a priority. We administer research funds, publish peer-reviewed journals, offer advice to government and foster international research contact and co-operation”
Some, but by no means all, RSNZ events come on tour to Hawke’s Bay.
They produce an excellent weekly newsletter to which it is free to subscribe.
